Sucat Shootout update: Police arrest 7 gunmen as Investigation continues into deadly firefight in Parananque

Parananque – 3 men who managed to escape after stealing a car at hieght of a shootout between police and a notorius robbery & kidnapping syndicate’s gunmen late friday feel into the arms of the law as at least seven are now in cusotdy in connection with the deadly melee that claimed 17 lives including innocent bystaders -a father and his 8 year old daughter as well several others.

Reports say three men believed to be those who escaped were arrested in a massive post shoot-out dragnet launched versus the gang believed responsible for as many as a dozen violent robberies.

Police are withholding the identities of the men pending other ongoing operations versus the gang and others who may be involved in the series of violent bank robberies that is thought to be part of large criminal syndicate that taps ex-lawmen, military men, and, rebels who use thier violent skills in crime gang activities. Director Bataoil also told reporters that a full investigation is ongoing and Police are also looking into who fired the fatal shoots that killed the bystanders. “The gang had been responsible for a series of brutal robbery-holdups, including the one at Veterans Bank at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City.” Bataoil told GMA radio DzBB, which reported earlier, according to Bataoil that, “The gang has been responsible for a series of robberies where the perpetrators claimed to be law enforcers.”
