Jolo Island: 3 Abu Sayyaf killed after bomb attacks

Abu Sayyaf militants, bombed two targets in Sulu Province Thursday. The first target hit was a telecommunications cell phone relay tower,

U.S. and Philippine Servicemembers Killed in Southern Philippines
Two U.S. service members and one Armed Forces of the Philippines service member were killed, and two other Armed Forces of the Philippines members were seriously wounded, September 29 in the southern Philippines when their vehicle struck an improvised explosive device. The incident occurred at 8:45 a.m. while the service members were conducting a resupply mission for a school construction project on the island of Jolo.
